Several times we have had one slip by less than 3 miles to our west or east, but it completely misses us. We can hear it loud and clear as it moves by, but our ground stays dry. It is like there is some kind of bubble over our area that deflect storms away from us. <div><br /></div><div>We are now in the summer, and any hope of severe weather is low during this time as it tends to be more dry and hot outside. Maybe something will happen this fall, who knows. I hope we get something soon though. Every time we dodge the bullet, it annoys me. My wife knows all about this.</div><div><br /></div><div>Keeping my fingers crossed for later this year when it starts to cool down again. Maybe there will be a battle in the atmosphere between the hot and cold air above us. I'll probably make some kind of blog when it finally happens.</div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-52840747165593182010-07-15T15:15:00.000-07:002010-07-15T15:18:55.683-07:00Thinking of making money online? Read this...<span class="Apple-style-span" style=" color: rgb(51, 51, 51); line-height: 14px; font-family:'lucida grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: small;">I just wanted to share this for those new people who want to make some extra income but are not sure how to go about doing so.<br /><br />There are many many many companies that have some kind of referral program, or compensation program online that rewards you with money for bringing them new business. It's a way for these companies to advertise through you, rather than through TV, internet, newspaper, or radio. Word of mouth advertising is very effective since more people tune out ads elsewhere in our world.<br /><br />For you new people who want to venture into this lifestyle, there is only one problem. How do you begin? Once you find a company with a product you like to use yourself, how do you go about promoting it? The very last thing you should do is start to spam people you know with your own form of advertising. You have to find a way of approaching people and not scaring them away. It may seem like a tough thing to do, but if you know the keys on how to approach people, it can be a LOT easier than you may even imagine.<br /><br />This is where our company comes in. We do not sell any physical products, we do not resort to dirty tactics just to help ourselves cheat people out of money. Our only interest is to help you succeed with online marketing. Sure, you may think "why would you care if I succeed?" but if you read my last blog, you would already know the answer to that question.<br /><br />We teach people how easy it can be to market yourself online. It is not rocket science, you don't need a degree from college before you do this. All you need is a real desire to succeed and some people skills.<br />Our policy is "nobody is left behind". It doesn't matter how little you know about computers, or doing things online, we can walk you through it and help you. You can also make a little money while you learn the system, that is like an extra gift to you.<br /><br />Check us out, watch the videos and decide for yourself. If you truly want to get out of your j.o.b. then you can do this. The only person holding you back is yourself. Yes, there are scams out there, but I am talking about the ones with leaders in the industry sharing their secrets.<br /><br />People tend to immediately think "Why would he share his secrets with me? That will hurt his success so it must be a scam". The leaders share their secrets because 9 times out of 10, if you follow their guidance, they will benefit from your success. They help you because if you make it big, they do also. This is the core of what network marketing is about.<br /><br />There is no "get rich overnight" program out there, so don't believe it when people tell you how soon you will be making the big bucks. The truth is, there is no set timeline to this business. You can plug away all you want, but it does not guarantee you will succeed. This is where the leaders step in and show you how they did it. They are not lying to you. They did follow these steps. Not every method though will guarantee results, but it doesn't hurt you to learn how to grow as a leader yourself.<br /><br />Think of it this way. If you see an awesome house someone built and ask them to show you how to build it yourself, they will give you the blueprints and instructions, but I don't think they will be right there helping you build it (unless you paid them, but that is not the point). It is up to you to take the steps outlined and find a way to get the house built that meets your own timelines and goals. It may not be the same path that other person took, but the ultimate goal is the same.<br /><br />Our company is designed around helping the average person make some money online, and show them it can be done. We don't make any income claims, we don't drop a ton of info in your lap and say "good luck". We are dedicated to helping you get to your own personal goals of where you want to be in the future, We are here to answer your questions, we are here to help you. Your success is in our best interests because if you succeed, we do as well. This is online network marketing, and this is how it should be done.<br /><br /></span><a href="http://img.borekhome.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" style="cursor: pointer; color: rgb(59, 89, 152); text-decoration: none; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">http://img.borekhome.com</span></a></span><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-70303681616769771752010-04-04T13:05:00.001-07:002010-04-04T13:15:00.072-07:00Happy Easter!Yesterday, my family and I went to a family reunion / Easter Get-together just north of Weatherford Texas. <div><br /></div><div>The weather was perfect, some sun and clouds and 80 degrees, light winds. It was a good day. We had a lot of food there and there was an egg hunt for the kids afterwards. Many people I don't even know were there as well. This is all my mother-in-law's side of the family and this event happens once a year on the same weekend. </div><div><br /></div><div>Scott, my wife's grandson, and mine too, benefits the most from this. He is 7 years old and Easter is a fun time for him, with all the candies and treats. I remember what it was like when I was young, with the egg hunt in the house and chocolate bunnies. </div><div><br /></div><div>To me now, just like Christmas, these are holidays that are meant for spending time with family. Enjoying what you have in life, because there is nothing more important to have than family. You could be the richest person in the world, but if you don't have family at your side, it all means nothing. I am just very thankful that my schedule improved at work, because now I can enjoy these times more in the way they were meant to be enjoyed. </div><div><br /></div><div>The next step for my wife and I, is to have our own working schedule, and center work around our life, instead of our life around work. This time is not far away.</div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-54720611834661922982010-03-23T13:59:00.001-07:002010-03-23T14:08:58.859-07:00Event at WorkToday at work we got to celebrate a good year last year. In our Customer Focus program, we finished 8th place in the district in 2009. This meant we got to have a car give-away and a bit of a lunch party.<div><br /></div><div>The car is a brand new Chevy car or truck. I think it's a 2010 model, loaded. The way it works is they draw 10 names of workers in the store, they all go up on a stage. Then, those 10 people have their names drawn again, and whoever is left up there at the end, wins the vehicle. It's not bad odds, with basically a 10/100 chance of your name being called, and about a 1/100 chance of winning. My name was not called unfortunately, but the girl who won this year, deserved it in my opinion. She has had a tough time the last couple of years with her life, so it made me feel good that someone won who deserved it.</div><div><br /></div><div>The downside to this is the whole lead-up to the event. The entire district management staff comes to the store and does a "walk" before the fun. This means, for the last few days, they have been driving everyone crazy with cleaning up the store to perfection. Our store looks better than most other stores in our area, but it's never good enough. I am just glad I don't have to close anymore. Last night, they were there until about 1am, when the store closes at 10pm. I have done that before, and I am very glad that I don't have to again.</div><div><br /></div><div>All-in-all, it was a good day and everyone had fun. </div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-57750657397986536502010-03-13T08:15:00.000-08:002010-03-13T08:21:55.996-08:00Silly contest at workAt work this week, we were informed of a new contest between departments. The department who gets the most calls to corporate about how good they did, gets a free steak dinner. The department who gets the least, has to cover the other department while they go to dinner.<div><br /></div><div>What they want us to do, is hand out a card to every customer and ask them to call head office and tell them how great we did today. Am I the only one who thinks this is stupid? I am not going to hand a card to a customer and beg them to call and tell some people how good I was. If they want to do that on their own, that's fine. I will not solicit a customer to try and make myself look good. If I was in a store shopping, and someone came up to me asking the same thing, I would feel very awkward. I would likely not call at all, and I may not go back to that store again for a while because that employee put me on the spot.</div><div><br /></div><div>This is really one step further than being expected to leave a tip when you go to dinner. It is supposed to be a courtesy thing based on how well you did. We get so many customers that some of them may call anyway, or tell their friends to come shop here since we were so good. This is the real goal, not telling our "parents" how good we are behaving at work. That won't get us more business.</div><div><br /></div><div>With any luck however, I will be gone from this retail working environment within the next year and my wife and I will be free of this kind of thing.</div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-73736945545314276572010-03-09T17:19:00.000-08:002010-03-09T17:30:02.405-08:00I Love Spring!Today, it was a very warm day here in Texas. It was about 76 degrees F (or 24 degrees C). Back home where I am from in Canada, it was 54F (or 12 degrees C). Not a bad day for Toronto, but I love the warmth here. <div><br /></div><div>Back up north, spring wasn't officially well underway until late March or Early April. Sometimes it was not even feeling like spring until May. Here it is already in full swing. The grass is turning green again, flowers are showing up in gardens, some trees have begun to bud. Life is returning to the plants and it puts a great smell in the air that is not present during the winter.</div><div><br /></div><div>People were coming in all day at work commenting on how great it felt outside. Contractors can finally start to get some work done and it is putting them in better moods. This is good because I have to deal with them all day.</div><div><br /></div><div>I am hoping the spring has some good storms hiding in it this year as last year, the spring was lacking in interesting weather. It cam for a few days at the end of the spring, including a big hailstorm, but that was all, and the summer was HOT.</div><div><br /></div><div>This weekend, the clocks go ahead an hour, which means I lose an hour of my weekend. Sucks, but at least the sun will be setting after 7:30pm once again. The only thing I am not looking forward to right now is I am going to have to cut the grass this weekend. Ah well.</div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-92222418273178694092010-03-04T13:45:00.000-08:002010-03-07T10:22:20.273-08:00Spring has finally arrived? Finally, after an unusually harsh winter for North Texas, it looks like the cold and snow has finally ended for this season. With spring officially only a couple of weeks away, we have started with much warmer temperatures and the long range keeps us in the warmer trend.<div><br /></div><div>I have a feeling the grass and trees will spring back to life fairly quickly since I think they have been waiting for this weather.</div><div><br /></div><div>Business is picking up at work also, very suddenly, with more and more people wanting to get out and do some spring work. The beginning of March is what our store terms the "100 days of hell". This means that spring is the busiest time of the year for us, and for the next 100 days, we will go through a LOT more selling, restocking, cleaning, moving things around, than we do at any other time of the year. Working in a hardware store, spring is big business.</div><div><br /></div><div>I am glad spring is really starting to come in now, as I was getting tired of the cold. Now I am really looking forward to the beginning of the storm season here in the southern plains of the USA. I love a good thunderstorm. hopefully with my new work schedule, with only working till 2pm, I will get off work before most of the "fun" weather starts up in the day. Time will tell, but if we get anything interesting, or drastic, I will be sure to report on it here.</div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-12169133646836365492010-02-27T06:54:00.000-08:002010-03-07T10:22:49.353-08:00Network Marketing and Making Money OnlineWhen I was younger, somewhere in my teens, I was interested in trying to make money in some other way than going to work every day. <div><br /></div><div>I found that some websites that let you get a free domain also had a way to sign up for putting ads on your website and getting paid if people clicked and bought something from them. I was a newbie at this, so I decided to sign up and try it out. I put ads everywhere I could find to check out my "shopping website". I put banner ads all down the page and hoped for the best, but my traffic never did any good. People don't want to visit a website that has nothing but banner ads on it, unless you have some kind of hook, so I gave up on this project.</div><div><br /></div><div>A few years later, my best friend told me he had found a program called Quixtar and said it was a way to get yourself a better income. After learning all about it, I decided to give it a try. The problem was my parents were able to buy many of the things Quixtar sold at much cheaper prices in the store. Another problem was they only shipped the products once a week and not even to your house unless you made a certain amount of money per month with them. I never renewed my membership because it was starting to cost me more money than I could afford.</div><div><br /></div><div>Many years went by without me getting into any more programs. Going to school full-time and working part-time to pay for it didn't leave me much time for this kind of thing. </div><div><br /></div><div>After I met the love of my life and moved to Texas to be with her, things started to change a bit. within a couple of years of being here, the economy started getting worse and worse. Her job was affected and we started to realize that normal work was no longer a secure way of providing for your family. For years, people would tell you network marketing was a waste of time because it was not secure work. It depended on how many other people you could get to join you. "Working a 9-5 job full-time is the only way to live your life and be secure" is the mindset of many people in the world. This economic problem proved that was no longer true. People with established careers were being laid off by the millions. We needed another way to do this.</div><div><br /></div><div>Last year, we started looking into ways of making money online. My wife came across many programs and some were not good for us. Some of them had sneaky ways of being sure you got charged more money before you could react to it. We kept on digging around though for the perfect program. </div><div><br /></div><div>We tried iJango, but because the founder had such a bad history, the company was failing miserably. It was a good idea, but the leadership just was not there.</div><div><br /></div><div>In August last year, we shifted to Peoplestring. This has so far has been the best program we signed up for. We have been disappointed in the lack of communication from the head office in what is going on with the business, but they do pay when they are supposed to. Promises of the program kept going unfulfilled, but at least we were able to make some money. We still have high hopes for Peoplestring but we realize it may take longer than we need it to get going full swing.</div><div><br /></div><div>Through Peoplestring, we met some amazing leaders. These guys know the ins and outs of network marketing and opened our eyes to many ways of making it work. They have become good friends of ours and have helped us at every turn on how to make this work. My wife is working this stuff full-time, when she is able to, and I am working full-time at my job and taking care of things so she can get this working for us. We are hoping within a year, we will be done with the J.O.B. lifestyle and we will be our own bosses, financially free.</div><div><br /></div><div>The team we are with is called Team IMG, which stands for "Insomnia Marketing Group". Right now we are pushing 2 programs, TrafficWave and LGN Prosperity. These 2 companies have a long track record of being true to their word and our team is growing very rapidly, so we think this could finally be the answer we have been searching for.</div><div><br /></div><div>If you want a way to get out of your J.O.B. and be your own person, check us out, we are there all the time to help anyone who needs it, new or experienced in network marketing.</div><div><br /></div><div>This link is the way into our team. Check out what we offer, and enjoy life for once, the way we were meant to enjoy it.</div><div>Click here: <a href="http://bit.ly/tw_sean">TrafficWave</a></div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-91144759695114648422010-02-24T18:35:00.001-08:002010-03-07T10:23:07.974-08:00Winter 2010 continues for TexasYesterday, we got yet another winter storm for our area. This makes 4 snowstorms for an area that is usually lucky to get 1 per year. Must be that global warming *rolls eyes*.<div><br /></div><div>We got another 2-3 inches of snow yesterday here. It was hard to tell exactly how much we received because much of it melted before the storm was actually over. Schools remained open but that was because it never really accumulated on the roads, just the grass.</div><div><br /></div><div>Here is some quick video I took of the white landscape outside our house here in Granbury Texas.</div><div><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Zj9qqUCxGlg&hl=en&fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Zj9qqUCxGlg&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object><br /></div><div>So far this season we have gotten about 12-13 inches of snow, which is basically unheard of here in North Texas. I am glad the children got to experience this because they may never see this kind of thing again in their lifetimes.</div><div><br /></div><div>We are hoping this was the last time it will snow here this year, because many of us are ready for it to start warming up again now. I have a feeling though that this year may be a bit cooler than usual, which is not unwelcome news since we had many days above 100 degrees last year during the summer. Time will tell, but I'll be sure to update here as we get further into the year.</div><div><br /></div><div>I just hope we get a good storm season this spring. Last year was slow to start.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-16816883755238977132010-02-20T10:42:00.001-08:002010-03-07T10:25:25.961-08:00Taste of Spring, then Winter continues...This has been a very unusual winter for us here in North Central Texas. It has been colder, and more snow than any winter in recent memory for this region. I have been here for almost 4 years so far and I can already tell this is not a normal pattern.<div><br /></div><div>This evening, we have a bit of a taste of spring coming in the form of thunderstorms. This is the kind of weather I love to experience. It's entertaining and fun to watch the progression of the storms here in Texas. This is my passion for weather. Normal rain is boring to me, unless it is very heavy, or you add some lightning and thunder.</div><div><br /></div><div>After this event this evening, it will be cooler again and by Tuesday, we have yet another risk of accumulating snows. It is a very good chance this time from a few days ahead, which is not normal since it is very tricky to predict snow in this area. A difference of a few miles could mean a couple of inches or not one flake of snow. We are border lined with the precipitation.</div><div><br /></div><div>It will probably be a much lighter dusting of snow this time around compared to the several inches we got a week ago, but in this area of Texas, we normally get 1 snowfall per winter, and this one will make it 4 times, all spread out from Christmas Eve, to late February. We are all hoping this will be it, because spring is so close, but maybe this is indicating a cooler spring ahead, who knows?</div><div><br /></div><div>The weather service has already issued a special statement to prepare people for what is coming. 2 inches of snow here in Texas, is like 10 inches in the northern states. It can shut things down very easily. We will have to wait and see what happens in the next couple of days. I will report back here with the way it all unfolds. Right now, I probably have one of the best schedules at work, but many times i just wish I could sleep in. My shift is 5am-2pm Monday through Friday. Weekends and evenings off. This may not seem like something so special, but this is in a "big-box" retail store. Most people have rotating schedules, but mine is consistent. It lets me enjoy my family since now I am home when they are home.<div><br /></div><div>My one good day to sleep in is now Saturday. Sunday I try to get up earlier, so I can be more ready to sleep Sunday night. Getting up at 4am for work means going to bed by 9:30 pm. My whole life so far I haven't had to go to sleep so early every day. I guess I am getting ready for retirement, when it's early to bed and early to rise hehe. It is very hard for me to go to sleep by 9:30pm. This leaves me a bit more tired each day and by Friday, by around 8pm I am ready to crash. It's a price to pay, but the evenings and weekends off deal is way too good to change things around. This is the kind of schedule I have been wanting for a long time now, so I can be home when family is home. I can live with being a little more sleepy each evening if it means being with my wife. </div><div><br /></div><div>Family is all we truly have in life, enjoy it!</div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-31137502331943734752010-02-15T13:18:00.001-08:002010-03-07T10:24:44.981-08:00Socialism in our schools...After a cancelled school day on Friday February 12th, today the school had their valentines day parties to make up for the day they missed. My wife and I are very annoyed right now however at how the school deals with the giving out of Valentines cards, and I think this is now common in every school.<div><br /></div><div>Our grandson is in second grade and he has a person in his class he really does not get along with. They fight a lot, get in trouble a lot, you just can't put them together. When it came time for making up his Valentines cards, we suggested he leave this boy out because they are not friends and we don't want him dealing with this other boy any longer. Every other person in the class had a card made up for Valentines Day.</div><div><br /></div><div>Today, my wife gets a call from his teacher saying he is there in tears because he didn't make this one card out for the boy he doesn't like, and therefore, he can't take part in any gift exchanges in class. They do this so no child leaves in tears because they didn't get a card from someone, yet they put our grandson in tears for not being able to participate.</div><div><br /></div><div>This has to be one of the dumbest rules for a class on Valentines Day. Even if you hate someone, you still have to give them a card in order to get one from your own friends? I remember when I was in elementary school and you never expected to get a card from everyone in class, that was part of the excitement. You wondered if you would get that card from the person you liked, or maybe from a secret admirer. That was the FUN of Valentines Day when I was a child. Now it just sucks. It's another type of socialism being taught to our children in school. Everyone is a winner, everyone is loved by everyone so we all get cards *gags*. This is just another way our children are being taught to think everyone is equal, when we all know damn well they are not.</div><div><br /></div><div>We would love to make enough money so we can both quit our jobs and home school our grandson. This way he can be taught the way all American children should be taught, the way it was done originally. Things just keep going downhill for our way of life, makes me wonder what's next......</div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-46135626545247213952010-02-13T18:24:00.000-08:002010-02-13T18:29:33.039-08:00Snow be gone! This is perfect Texas weather for you. If you don't like the weather, wait till tomorrow. 2 days ago we had a record setting snowstorm. If you saw the area today you'd call me a liar. It's all gone! <div><br /></div><div>There is a little snow left in some spots like in shaded areas on the ground, but other than that, the grass is green again. I was out driving today doing some errands, and the snow was melting so fast, there were rivers running down the roads and waterfalls running off the rooftops. </div><div><br /></div><div>This is good though, because it really gets the ground a good soaking before it starts to get warm outside in another couple of months.</div><div><br /></div><div>For a location we only normally see 1 snowy day per year, we have gotten at least 3 this season. What global warming?</div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-13514952193694239922010-02-11T15:40:00.000-08:002010-02-17T17:08:41.760-08:00Snowmageddon Hits TexasOk, so it's not exactly Snowmageddon by many people's standards, but for this region, the snow that fell today is not something you see every year..... or every decade for that matter. <div><br /></div><div>It started this morning before dawn as rain and snow mixed together here in Granbury. It didn't build up too much because it kept melting, however, for areas a little further north of us, the snow built up very rapidly. In Weatherford, about 20 minutes north of us, they have gotten close to 8 inches of snow and it is still coming down as I write this. Here in Granbury, where the snow stuck, I can see maybe about 2 inches so far. </div><div><br /></div><div>Here is a short video I took of the snow falling here. This is something that you maybe see once per year here in this area of Texas, but so far this year, we have seen at least 3 mini-snowstorms.</div><div><br /></div><div><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/i8NIY1DPdiQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/i8NIY1DPdiQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></div><div><br /></div><div>After the sun goes down tonight, that is when the problems will start. It is going to be cold tonight, well below freezing, so all the roads will ice-up and we don't have a lot of equipment that can remove ice and snow from roads very well. I have to be in work for 5am tomorrow, it may be a "fun" drive, guess I better leave early.</div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-85200961323886817022010-02-05T15:30:00.001-08:002010-02-05T15:43:03.271-08:00Pet Peeve'sToday I just wanted to talk about my 2 biggest pet peeves. These are things I see all the time these days and every time I do, it just annoys the heck out of me.<div><br /></div><div>My first and probably biggest pet peeve is being directly lied to, especially by a reputable corporation. When things are promised to you by a certain date on the calendar, that day should NOT go by and have nothing happen. </div><div>This has happened many times. We get promised things by a certain date, that date comes and goes, and the item promised is never received. If you can't promise something by a certain day, just tell me the TRUTH. I respect someone a hundred times more if they just come to me and say "You know what? We are not sure when we can get that to you but we are working hard on getting it there soon." Why can't they just say that?</div><div>One other issue that goes hand-in-hand with this one is being "left in the dark." This is when there is a complete lack of communication about something important. At work, I have seen plans change repeatedly without anyone saying what the deal is. Some explanation can do wonders for morale.</div><div><br /></div><div>My second pet peeve is when someone seriously thinks they are better than you and they flaunt it publicly. I just don't like this kind of attitude because it brings down the mood of people. There is no need to flaunt your strengths making everyone else look weak. There is nothing to gain from this and in many cases it actually is not true. Vanity is the devil's favorite sin. Help your colleagues be better at what they do rather than show them how much they suck at it and everyone wins. </div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-69745633888132004922010-02-03T14:52:00.000-08:002010-02-03T15:05:12.403-08:00Perfect World<div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">No, I'm not talking about our real world. You all know it is FAR from perfect. I am actually talking about an MMORPG. What is unique about this one is it is a free to play or F2P Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (this is what MMORPG stands for by the way :P).</div><div><br /></div><div>This game has great graphics. They really spent a while in making the game look visually appealing to players. This is important in a free game because you need a hook to make them look further. People have low expectations for free online games, so this helps in a big way. There is a definite Asian theme to the graphics and music, however the music is more modern and upbeat, but definitely Asian. </div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgB6irV2v44sZse3uXVYqr1rSAiI7jF6g9dbkZw1ZKdgMT-r5d503OGw1QONw8EcqLh6Jc6-RW9H3QuZlnM5vSVFTDAjuOMF5bU29ueAbfbnIa9oEfk0pqww_tc-AeHbrLoIeR3-y3dPTgt/s320/b7.jpg" /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">There are 4 different races to choose from and each one has 2 classes to play as. This results in 8 different classes or jobs to play the game as. From Mages, to Barbarians, to Rogues, all the classic types are here and each one has it's own strengths and weaknesses. Each class can also solo very well for the most part, but ones without healing magic may need to rest every few fights.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">I have built myself up to level 18 and I am still very new to the game, but from what I have seen so far, this is a great choice if you want to play something but you don't have the money to play one of the more mainstream games like World of Warcraft, or Final Fantasy XI etc. There are many quests which really help you level and they break up the grind a bit as well. </div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;">Check out this game if you are looking for something new. You have nothing to lose.</div><div style="text-align: left;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://pwi.perfectworld.com/">Click here to go to the website</a></div><div><br /></div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-67421270594699383822010-01-31T19:06:00.000-08:002010-01-31T19:16:20.699-08:00Managers in RetailI just had to share this. The other day at the grocery store, I was in one of the aisles looking at something when over the loudspeaker I heard, in a very loud voice, a manager ordering one of his associates to the very aisle I was in. I looked over a few feet and there was the associate standing there right in the middle of the aisle he was just ordered to report to.<div><br /></div><div>He just looked at me, shrugged and remarked "I hate my boss".</div><div><br /></div><div>This is not out of the ordinary in retail. I completely sympathized with him. Sometimes when you are in a store and you hear an order barked over the intercom, there is a good chance the person being ordered around is already working on that. Sometimes managers just don't check before they manage. </div><div><br /></div><div>This has happened to me before as well. I was working in the paint department helping a customer by mixing some paint. I had just left the desk to get the can I needed from the aisle, when over the intercom I hear "customer needs assistance at the paint desk, customer is waiting for assistance at the paint desk". I look back and the person I was helping is the only one there, and they kind of shrank away wondering what that was all about. The manager who paged it was just exiting the door as well, so he didn't even wait to see what happened.</div><div><br /></div><div>I know it's just them doing their job trying to be sure they cover their butt, however, they can have their own mind sometimes. It can do wonders.</div>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-39132694453114519892009-12-05T10:23:00.000-08:002009-12-05T10:37:02.426-08:00Our bodies have everything we need<a rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Lately I am seeing a trend with new health drinks, or health supplements. There is a shift starting to happen where we are not being told to take in fruit's or other things to give our bodies a great antioxidant. It is turning out that the things our body can benefit the most from are already within us. They are just not active.<br /><br />One example of this is the Resveratrol that is in the Black Grape drink I mentioned in my last blog. The Resveratrol is only in the drink because it helps to activate certain cells in our bodies that greatly help us, but are dormant right now. The resveratrol activates these other cells in our body to give us great benefits to our health and life. To understand this more, watch this video. It helps to clear up what I am talking about a lot more.<br /><br /></a><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1EQNOMolqs">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1EQNOMolqs</a><br /><br />Black Grape energy drink is the only drink that not only has this ingredient in it, but it also drives up our energy and just makes you feel great. You also don't feel any crash afterward, so you continue to feel great for a while. Try some out today. You may be surprised at how much better you actually feel. <a href="http://bit.ly/5TNLla">http://bit.ly/5TNLla</a><a href="http://bit.ly/5TNLla"><br /></a><br />My wife and I are trying out another such product that helps to reactivate healthy cells in your body. We just started however, so if it works out as it should, we'll be informing you about it later on.Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-31224210056451443562009-11-23T19:39:00.000-08:002009-11-23T19:59:16.235-08:00Black Grape EnergyI love to use energy drinks, but I do not drink any of those high sugar, high caffeine drinks. Those don't give me the kind of energy I need. I need energy that can last me through a shift at work and not bring me down as soon as it wears off.<br /><br /><a href="http://sites.google.com/site/borekstring1/borek">Peoplestring</a> has recently joined forces with a new company that produces a new energy drink called "Black Grape". This drink uses <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resveratrol">Resveratrol</a> which is a great new dietary supplement that can improve your own metabolism and even burn more calories through the day.<br /><br />The energy you get from this drink is a lot like "5 hour energy" where it doesn't smack you in the face making you jittery and such for an hour or so. This is more of a "I no longer need a nap" kind of energy. It feels great for work and improves my mood if I am tired. The problem with "5 hour energy" however, is that the energy is all you get from it. You get no other nutritional value from this drink, but <a href="http://www.blackgrapehealth.com/borek">Black Grape</a> gives you the energy, plus the benefits of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resveratrol">Resveratrol.<br /></a><br />What my wife and I love though is there is no commitment with this drink. You can buy it or not buy it as part of <a href="http://sites.google.com/site/borekstring1/borek">Peoplestring</a>. The really neat thing is however, with every case sold through our own store, we get $9 paid right back to us immediately. <a href="http://sites.google.com/site/borekstring1/borek">Peoplestring</a> is completely free to join, and every member has this option available right when they join. This is not the main focus of <a href="http://sites.google.com/site/borekstring1/borek">Peoplestring</a>, but it is a nice way to get something healthy and make a little money back.<br /><br />It tastes kind of like a grape soda, but a little more bitter, and the flavor is kind of like eating the skin of grapes, which is where <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resveratrol">resveratrol</a> is mainly found. As an energy drink, it is a great option. Join <a href="http://sites.google.com/site/borekstring1/borek">Peoplestring</a> for free and use this as one way of making you feel better, and make yourself a little money on top. In these hard times, we all need options.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.blackgrapehealth.com/borek">Check out the drink here</a>. The case may be $50, but break it down for 24 cans, and it is a LOT lower in price than any other energy drink for its value on the market. It is about <strong>$2.08 per can.</strong>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-78336495326083874612009-10-02T10:28:00.000-07:002009-10-02T10:43:30.571-07:00Peoplestring is going to be huge!My wife and I have been involved with Peoplestring for just over the past month and we have really gotten excited about what this means for our future.<br /><br />Peoplestring is an amazing opportunity and involves absolutely no selling whatsoever. It is a website with many features and ways to provide you with additional income.<br /><br />First off, they share their own revenues with their members. 70% of what advertisers pay them, they pay to us as members. The amount each person gets from this is determined by how much they use the website for their own normal internet use. As you use the site to access anything on the internet, you earn "People Points". These points slowly build up as the month goes on, and when they get the payment from advertisers once per month, the point totals determine exactly how much you are entitled to when weighed with the other members. Clicking on ads does not increase your own earnings and could get you banned if you do it a lot. They get paid from advertising in other ways. <br /><br />The other way you can earn money is by way of advertising to you based on your own lifestyle. <br /><br />Think about traditional advertising. TV advertising is a failing market because people tend to turn off commercials, change the channel or mute the TV. Companies spend millions of dollars on these ads and people just tune out. Print ads have the same problem. Newspapers are losing subscribers because they can just read the news online where there are less print ads to see.<br /><br />This opens up this new way of advertising to consumers. Advertisers are willing to pay a couple of dollars just to get you to read advertising they send you in the mail. When you do this in Peoplestring, there will be a small code on the ad which you enter online to show you got it and looked at it. This earns you money. Even if you don't pay attention to the ad, you still glanced at it and maybe something registered in your mind. This is already better for the advertiser than most TV or Print ads. They got you to look at it.<br /><br />On the main website is the social portal. From here you can set up a list of your favorite websites on the left hand menu. You can add whatever link you want and name it whatever you want. This allows complete customization for yourself and you no longer have to use your bookmark menu. Each time you click on one of your own links, this is called a "Click-through" and can earn you more "People Points". This not only makes it easier for you to browse the internet, it also can earn you money.<br /><br />You can also do internet searches using Google from this same page. All the popular social networks and popular email websites are all accessible from this one page, plus it is a complete social network, like Facebook, all in one place.<br /><br />You can get paid for 6 levels of referrals and there are 2 sign up options. One option is free, which pays you 5% of your direct referral earnings and 2% of levels 2-6 earnings. The second option is an entrepreneur package which is a pay package, but you can earn a lot more money. It is 20% for your direct referrals and 6% for levels 2-6.<br /><br />This sounds complicated, but it really isn't. You don't have to sell anything, you don't have to carry any inventory. All you do is use the internet as you normally do and introduce this site to some of your friends or family to make a little extra money each month. It is completely free to sign up so there is no risk to you at all.<br /><br />We have a great training site as well if you are interested in learning how to make this into a great supplemental income to your own, or even take it to a full-time business if you feel inclined. The website is <a href="http://www.teaminsomnia1.com">http://www.teaminsomnia1.com</a><br /><br />This company will be going public soon, so now is a great time to position yourself for the influx of new people signing up when that happens. To see how popular it already is, visit <a href="http://www.alexa.com">alexa.com</a> and put <span style="font-weight: bold;">peoplestring.com</span> into the site lookup. We are already in the top 5000 of all the websites in the world and getting better each day. When you think about it, that is a real accomplishment.<br /><br />Check it out today, sign up, have some fun, invite your friends, and start earning money with little effort.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.borekstring.com">http://www.borekstring.com</a>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-86046531570919308112009-09-08T11:17:00.000-07:002009-09-15T16:33:25.772-07:00Peoplestring, how does this work?<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4ApBYCZj1lQ/Sqaf7djCktI/AAAAAAAAABo/eR_1I9wwK48/s1600-h/mailbox_title.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 80px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4ApBYCZj1lQ/Sqaf7djCktI/AAAAAAAAABo/eR_1I9wwK48/s320/mailbox_title.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379162648833331922" border="0" /></a><br />For people who are interested in Peoplestring but you are not sure if it is legit, This may make it more clear to you. You may be wondering "why would advertisers pay me to look at their ads? There must be something more to this". This may make it easier to understand.<br /><br />Advertisers on TV spend millions of dollars making and distributing commercials on television. This is not a very good advertising practice because what do most people do these days when commercials come on TV? They leave the room to get a snack, go to the bathroom, maybe they change the channel and come back afterward. Some people even record their shows to watch it later and fast-forward through these commercials.<br /><br />Advertisers in newspapers and other print media are also in a bad spot. They spend lots of money distributing these ads and again, what do most people do when they get them in the mail or in newspapers? They just ignore them and toss them out without even looking at it, or they skip the pages with ads in the paper etc.<br /><br />People just don't care.<br /><br />What can they do to help themselves get their word out? That is where Peoplestring comes in. If someone told you they would pay you money to watch the commercials on TV, would you do it? If someone told you they would pay you to read the ads in the newspaper, would you do that too?<br /><br />This is what Peoplestring is doing. By paying us to read advertisements, both sides win. You may just be looking for that code to enter on the website to get paid, but even by looking briefly looking at the page, the ad has gotten to you. You will likely remember something about that ad and that is exactly what they want. This method is much more effective than TV ads or newspaper ads and it costs advertisers a lot less overall. Sure each ad is not a huge amount of money, but by getting many each day, it quickly adds up in pay for yourself.<br /><br />Peoplestring is not a scam. Peoplestring costs nothing for you to try it out. Even if you don't make a ton of money, you will still make some, and with no overhead at all, that is 100% profit for YOU. This business can be very successful for yourself if you take the time and learn all about it and get your friends to join.<br /><br />Who doesn't want to make some money with NO risk in these hard times? Go ahead, join us and we will support you all the way by sending you materials to help you get started on your way and answer any questions you may have about the program. You have NOTHING to lose and EVERYTHING to gain. Think about it.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.peoplestring.com/?u=seanb" target="_blank">http://www.peoplestring.com/?u=seanb</a>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-3013324368006150402009-08-25T13:54:00.000-07:002009-08-25T14:14:51.794-07:00This is Ridiculous!<span class="vitstorybody"><a href="http://www.wfaa.com/sharedcontent/dws/wfaa/latestnews/stories/wfaa090825_wz_apcowboyssuit.115a4d217.html"><span style="font-weight: bold;">Cowboys Employees Sue Builder of Practice Facility</span></a><br /><br />Let's set the situation of what happened. It was a bad day for weather. Most of North Texas was under a tornado watch and severe thunderstorms were continuously moving through the area. One of these storms made its way to the area where the practice facility was and slammed into it. <br /><br />The entire place was shaking with the winds which were very strong at the time. Then one of the players decided this was a good time to leave the building. Opening the door allowed the winds to enter the building which can comprimise the entire structure because now you have force trying to lift it from underneath it. This is when the structure collapsed, big surprise.<br /><br />The practice field is a Tent. Even with the metal poles supporting it, it is still a tent. It was holding up fine until they decided to open the door to get out. Think about this as if you are in your house. When a storm is raging outside, do you try to leave your house? For your own safety, NO you stay inside and get to a safe room to ride out the storm. These guys tried to leave and ended up getting hurt. Now instead of blaming themselves for not following the rules of storm safety, they try to pin the blame on someone else.<br /><br />I do realize the tent was supposed to stand up to a stronger wind than was measured, but they don't know for sure how strong the wind gusts were at the time, they just have estimates. Any meteorologist can attest that winds in a severe thunderstorm can be extremely localized.<br /><br />I blame the people who organize the practice events. WHY would you hold a practice session in a TENT when there is SEVERE WEATHER in the area and the whole region is under a TORNADO WATCH??? That is just stupidity in my opinion. The MEDIA was there as well, so it's not like they were not informed. They would be able to easily get information on the state of the weather outside. People just try to get money off anyone they can these days and they never admit to screwing up in the first place.<br /><br />This bugs me because it was probably not the company's fault for building the structure wrong, but because they have a rocky history with other structures they built, they will have a hard time defending themselves. All people see is that players and coaches were hurt so someone has to be blamed for a TENT not standing up to a severe thunderstorm microburst. <br /><br />Stupid.<br /></span>Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4959424962959163751.post-58430003376145604142009-08-22T13:24:00.000-07:002009-09-15T16:34:02.687-07:00New, free way to make money!Check this out, this is a new way to make money and they offer a completely free option.<br /><a href="http://peoplestring.com/?u=seanb" target="_BLANK" onfocus="this.blur();">http://peoplestring.com/?u=seanb</a><br />Basically, you join the site, fill out a quick survey to determine your lifestyle, and you start to get junkmail offers from them. The way the melody and rhythm go together it makes me feel good listening to it every time.<br /><br />The main styles I love to hear is Trance, Eurodance, some House, and some Techno.<br /><br />By far, my favorite DJ is Dj Tiesto. I have been to one of his events and it was amazing. He really loves what he does and knows what a crowd loves to hear. At the end of his set, he even tossed his headphones out into the crowd. I bet those things were expensive.<br /><br />Back in the 90's I was looking for a style of music to get into. I was mainly into alternative for a while but eventually fell into Eurodance music after hearing my friends play it a lot at their houses. It just sounded great.<br /><br />I still remember the very first CD I bought, it was Dance Hits Allstars 96.<br /><br />This CD had a very good tracklist of popular songs at the time.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4ApBYCZj1lQ/SoA-2mlRASI/AAAAAAAAABg/AhmY68EAQfY/s1600-h/First+CD.jpg"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 141px; height: 141px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_4ApBYCZj1lQ/SoA-2mlRASI/AAAAAAAAABg/AhmY68EAQfY/s320/First+CD.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368359863616340258" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="http://www.discogs.com/Various-Dance-Hits-All-Stars-96/release/1758756">Click here for tracklisting.</a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /> <br />When Robert Miles got into the scene and released his "Children" song, this got me into Trance Music. I loved how it sounded. People hate that Trance has no lyrics, but I feel this allows people from every country to enjoy the music without any language barriers. This can be seen at any Trance party in Europe. Many people who just can't understand each other are having fun and enjoying the party.<br /><br />Dj Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren are my 2 favorite Dj's. Their music flows beautifully and it even borderlines "magical" at times. Whenever I am feeling stressed or down and can't be with my wife, this music helps me out a lot.Seanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11170685394698002749noreply@blogger.com0
